What's Wrong with "Democrats" & "Republicans"

Driven and abetted by a new President who is startlingly Un-American in his goals and stated ambitions for our country, the US Congress and Senate are continuing along a path that is quite purposefully designed to put an end to our Constitutional Republic, once and for all. Our law makers have been on this path for about a hundred years so, no surprise there.
Given the scope and intensity of political debate in the country, I think it's fair to assume that most Americans understand what is is happening to America, on one level or another.
I think it's also fair to assume that the many Americans suppose the bloodless-coup occurring in the Legislative and Executive Branches of our government is a "good thing".
After years of getting our brains washed by deliberate "miseducation" in school, news manipulation and public ad campaigns, too many of us just don't get it.
The American people seem less concerned with abstract concepts such as "liberty" these days and more focussed on concrete concerns; flat screen TVs, universal health-care and free "iTunes" all come to mind.
It's odd to contemplate that today's "American" apparently has no clue as to the circumstances that created a phenomenon known as American Exceptionalism, perhaps first referred to by Alexis de Tocqueville (Democracy in America - 1835). Odder still is the certainty that the mere introduction of that theory into a contemporary conversation would guarantee umbrage and politically-correct "offense".
Talk about not being able to handle a compliment...
America is more divided than ever before, despite electing "Obama - The Great Uniter" as the nation's president. What passes for philosophical/political debate has degenerated into what "We, the People" have been told are our choices in life.
- We've been told that America's Founders were just a bunch of "old, rich white guys who owned slaves".
- We've been told that the Constitution and it's founding principles are passé; hopelessly outdated and helpless to the solution of "modern" problems.
- We've been told that everything in America today is about "government".
- We've been told that "government" is only about "Republicans" and "Democrats"... and
- We've been told that the United States of America is "a democracy".
Well, my fellow Americans; we've been told wrong.
The country of the United States of America was established after an eight-year war of independence with Great Britain. The structure of the government of the United States of America is defined and established in our Constitution. The creation of America was a unique event in human history, bought and paid for with courage, reason and blood.
- We are a Constitutional Federal REPUBLIC - specifically NOT a "democracy".
- We have a "Bill of Rights" (the first ten "articles" or "amendments" to the Constitution) to guarantee our Individual Sovereignty
- We have a Constitution that specifically details the only powers delegated to the Federal Government.
- We have guaranteed "States Rights" in both the Constitution and the US Code that ensures the bulk of governing power belongs to the States and, therefore, the people.
By definition, EVERY American is a republican (note the small "r") because our country is a republic.
A "democracy" is a creature of totalitarianism; it is either a state of anarchy and mob rule or one of tyrannical rule by elites.
AND THAT'S THE TROUBLE WITH "REPUBLICANS" AND "DEMOCRATS" - they are political parties, full of Political Power Mad Dogs, who lie and dissemble at every turn and grab more power (i.e., "sex, drugs, rock & roll, baby!") at every turn.
So, Mr. & Ms. Congress-critter/Senator; I acknowledge that you've temporarily seized my freedom with your legislative coup. I admit that I tremble for my liberty and the future of my nation before your illegal, unconstitutional and socialist "Stimulous", "Cap and Trade" and "Health Care Reform" bills... schemes that you and our "Manchurian Candidate" President seek to turn into Law.
"Laws", after all, are enforced at the point of a gun.
But, like they say in the movies; "Watch your back" - there are still freedom loving Americans loose in the land who seek to preserve our Republic.
