Every Time (You Go Away) - This cover by SMOMB was put together from yesterday’s jam in the the Surly-Mac One-Man Band studio in Whitestone (Queens - New York City), New York. This is the first time we’ve been able to use the new Recessive-Music-Gene Productions (New York) facility.

The music features ukulele, harmonica and Surly-Mac on vocals... with a little background help from the Boys in the Band.
The "movie" is a small homage to friends & extended family. Some are distanced by miles while others have Passed On...
Since moving to New York City (sort of) earlier this month, we’ve been slowly getting an attic-studio put together where the Band is able to permanently set up... rather than having to break all the gear down and stow it out of living areas. What a luxury!
Technical aspects:
- Tenor Eleuke (with low “G” string)
- Recording platform is late 2008 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.72 (“Lion” )
- DAW software is Apple’s “GarageBand”
- Vocal microphone chores handled by our Samson C01U (USB) Studio Mic
- Final mixing done on 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac (21.5” ) computer (running “Lion” )
- Monitoring by Samson Media O-N-E Active Studio Monitors
A reminder: this is strictly a “hobbyist” effort, undertaken for fun & learning!
