I’ve been recording in my home studio for a few years but am just now trying to learn a thing or two about effective song mixing. Now the SMOMB Engineers have added the tool box that comes with Apple’s Logic Pro X Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
Thanks to helpful stuff from recordingrevolution, Bob Sell and others on YouTube, a couple of mixing techniques are starting to seep into my old, creaking brain-box making this learning process fun & satisfying.
I told my friend in California that if I ever got a remix of this song “done” (is it ever?) that I’d post it… so, here it is Jim. There’s a bit of honky-tonk upper-register piano sprinkled in for “mood”, otherwise the music content is the same - just a lot of “re-voicing” and remixing. Hope I knocked off a few of the rough edges….
